Industry Roundup · March 22, 2026 · Mana Riot Games
Big week across the games that matter. MTG crowned a champion in Richmond, Flesh and Blood Pro Quest season ends today, Riftbound is mid-spoiler-season for its third set, and Gundam just dropped its first-ever Ultimate Deck. Here’s everything you need to know.
MTG: Mono-Green Landfall Wins Magic Spotlight: TMNT at SCG CON Richmond
Two weeks ago, the Magic competitive spotlight touched down in Richmond, Virginia for Magic Spotlight: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at SCG CON — and it ended with a $10,000 check going to John Puglski Clark, who piloted Mono-Green Landfall to the top of a stacked 500+ player Standard field.
Clark took home the unique TMNT trophy, $10,000 in prize money, and a direct invitation to Pro Tour Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes at MagicCon: Amsterdam on July 17–19, 2026. The Top 8 all earned the same Pro Tour invite, setting up some serious stakes heading into the summer.
The set itself has been making waves — Wizards of the Coast leaned hard into the Universes Beyond integration, and the four Turtles each appear as borderless headliner cards with original artwork by co-creator Kevin Eastman, exclusively in Collector Boosters in English. Secondary market prices on these have stayed elevated and don’t look like they’re coming down soon.
On Arena, the MTG | TMNT Qualifier Play-In wrapped up yesterday (March 21), with results rolling in across social media this week. If you’re watching the Standard meta, keep an eye on how the Dimir-heavy ladder field adapts to Mono-Green now that it’s proven itself at the highest level.
Flesh and Blood: Pro Quest Las Vegas Ends Today — Battlegrounds Launches Next Weekend
If you’ve been grinding store events trying to earn a seat at Pro Tour: Las Vegas, today is your last shot. Pro Quest: Las Vegas Classic Constructed qualifying events run through March 22 — that’s today — before the path to Las Vegas closes. Every Pro Quest winner earns a direct invite to the Pro Tour in July.
Speaking of July: Pro Tour: Las Vegas runs July 16–19 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The format will be Classic Constructed plus Set 19 Booster Draft — and yes, Set 19 is confirmed for Q2 2026. The FaB Keynote earlier this year also teased additional Silver Age support and a third chapter of Silver Age Precons in Q3, so the organized play pipeline is looking very healthy.
Next weekend (March 28–29), Battlegrounds launch events kick off worldwide at local game stores. Battlegrounds is the seasonal in-store tournament experience for FaB — and importantly, it’s one of the only ways outside the World Tour to earn Tournament Packs and a Professional Tournament Invitation. If you’re competitive about Flesh and Blood, your LGS’s Battlegrounds event is not one to sleep on.
Riftbound: Set 3 “Unleashed” Preview Season Is Live
The League of Legends TCG is mid-reveal season for Riftbound: Unleashed, its third set, and the cards look compelling. Preview season kicked off March 13 and runs through March 26, with the worldwide English release locked in for May 8, 2026 and Pre-Rift events starting May 1.
Confirmed champions in the set include Master Yi, Diana, Vi, Pyke, and an exclusive early preview of Hwei — a brooding, visually striking champion that’s already getting attention in the Riftbound community. The set features over 200 cards with new mechanics and token support.
If you haven’t been watching the showcase match content that dropped with the reveal, it’s worth the watch: content creators Sydeon, Disguised Toast, Scarra, and Yvonne played out several of the new Legends live, giving a real sense of how the new mechanics feel at the table. Riftbound’s growth trajectory has been consistent since launch, and Unleashed looks like it will keep that going.
Gundam Card Game: Destiny Ignition Hits This Month
March has been a big month for the Gundam Card Game, with two significant releases landing in quick succession.
Destiny Ignition [ST09], the game’s first-ever Ultimate Deck, drops March 27. Destiny Ignition brings Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny into the card game for the first time, featuring iconic units like the Impulse Gundam and pilot Shinn Asuka.
What makes Destiny Ignition stand out mechanically is that it spans three colors — Purple, Red, and White — allowing players to build in Purple-Red or Purple-White configurations. It’s designed for high synergy with the upcoming Phantom Aria [GD04] releasing in April, so picking up ST09 now is smart if you want to hit the ground running next month.
Store release events have been running throughout March, so check with your local game store about remaining Destiny Ignition launch events in the next few days.
Also on the Radar This Week
Sorcery: Contested Realm — The Gothic set (440 cards, 13 new avatars) is the active set and Season 10 of the Sorcery League is open, running relaxed, play-driven battles on Tabletop Simulator. Great time to try the game if it’s been on your radar.
Star Wars Unlimited — We covered A Lawless Time in depth earlier this week on the blog — if you missed it, the Set 7 spotlight post is up and covers the new Credit Token and Triple Aspect mechanics, plus the first-ever SWU rotation.
That’s the week. Lots of action across a lot of games — which is exactly how we like it. Drop a comment below with what you’re playing this weekend, and check out our latest deck techs and game guides at manariotgames.com.
